The 3.6 engine is much better than average and the 2.0T is better than average. The 2.0T had far more climate control, brakes, and body integrity issues. I'm not sure I understand that. However, high-end engines come with plenty of maintenance and we need to look at the Audi 2.0 TSFI engine problems. The Audi TSFI engine is arguably one of the more reliable options and some of the vehicles can reach 150,000 miles with basic maintenance. However, one of the common issues of this vehicle is the engine oil consumption and turbo The supercharger has shown to be dependable. B9 2.0T Engine Reliability. I'm likely going to be in the market for a 2019 A4/A5 or S4/S5 and am looking for feedback regarding the reliability of the 2.0T used in the B9 A4, A5, and Q5. I have a 2011 A4 that has been reliable except for excessive oil consumption, which plagued the 2.0T for several years. Wilmurt. Just recently Audi did a partial engine repair to our 2009 A4 2.0T due to excessive oil consumption at 24k miles. Our car was using oil at the rate of 500-600 miles per quart. As explained by our dealer, there was a bad batch of piston rings installed at the factory within a specific VIN range and our car happened to fall into that range. AvdFB.
